Titebond introduces Titebond Fast set Polyurethane Construction Adhesive, a one-component adhesive that offers speed, strength and versatility, says the company. Fast Set is designed to bond all types of building materials including two non-porous substrates. Titebond can be used to bond masonry with marble, plastic with plywood, metal with foam board, mirror to drywall and slate to lead, says the company, even in adverse weather conditions. Titebond extrudes in temperatures down to 32 degrees Fahrenheit and bonds wet and frozen materials, making it suitable for use year-round on exterior projects. For interior projects, Fast Set has low odor properties, making it safer for commercial and residential environments, adds the company. With a VOC content of only 20 g/l, it complies with primary green building programs, including LEED, NAHB, CARB, SCAQMD, Green Seal and Green Globes. It also meets the requirements of the American Plywood Association AFG-01, ASTM D3498, ASTM C557, CAN/CGSB-71.25M and CAN/CGSB-71.26M. It is offered in 10- and 28-ounce cartridges at hardware stores (in stock or by special order), building supply stores and lumber yards.
