18V Lithium-Ion Battery Offers Increased Runtime

The Bosch BAT622 18V Li-Ion 6.0 Ah FatPack battery is deisgned to increase productivity by offering up to 45 percent more runtime over standard 4.0 Ah packs, says the company. It features a heat-sink housing design, called the CoolPack, designed to cool internal cell temperatures. Bosch adds the cooler running battery means extended recharge life that is up to 100 times longer than similar packs without this design. The Bosch BAT622 is light and compact and compatible with the complete line of Bosch 18V lithium-ion power tools. It is built with high-capacity, low-resistance lithium-ion cells and offers increased runtime and performance for all Bosch 18V power tools including rotary hammers, impact drivers and reciprocating saws, says the company. Bosch battery technology continues to work with each individual tool’s electronic monitoring system (EMS), which regulates the proper amount of voltage drawn to tackle the heavy-duty job. EMS monitors heating of the tool and battery and will shut either sysytem down if temperatures reach a range that can cause damage. This protects the entire system for a long, productive life, according to the company. Bosch BAT622 batteries have the same size and weight footprint found on previous Bosch 3.0 Ah, 4.0 Ah and 5.0 Ah 18V batteries and include a fuel gauge so users know the power level. Price for the Bosch BAT622 0.0Ah Battery is $129 in the U.S. and $169 in Canada. For additional information visit www.BoschTools.com.
