VTM Enterprises introduces the VantEdge edgebander series, available in a variety of models to suit customer needs. Models come standard with touch screen controls, heavy duty working units, and more. The advanced models include options for pre-milling and corner rounding. The company says it has more than 40 years of edgebanding experience.

Available from Safety Speed, the H5 vertical panel saw has a crosscutting height of 64-in. while delivering an accuracy of 1/32-in. straight and square. With 3-1/4 hp industrial motors, the saw can be used in a variety of panel cutting operations. Standard equipment includes: quick change from vertical to horizontal cutting; thin material pressure guard and an integrated dust collection bonnet.

Castaly Machine offers a wide variety of CNC routers, ranging from basic and standard models, in 4x4 through 5x10 sizes, to rapid change models with linear or rotary automatic tool change, to PRO models and twin table machines. Powered by high precision, brushless drive motors and controlled by a hand-held controller, the precision machined steel framework provides a foundation for the linear motion drive system, and is equipped with a 4HP high frequency spindle (6,000 – 18,000 RPM), and a vacuum t-slot table work surface.

Techno CNC Systems has introduced its new Titan series CNC router which features all steel construction, precision helical rack, and pinion drives on the X and Y axes and ball screw on the Z axis. THK linear rails and bearings offer a 7.5in. gantry clearance and an 11.5in. Z-axis stroke. Available with a handheld controller, the precision machined steel framework provides a foundation for the linear motion drive system and is equipped with a 4HP high frequency spindle (6,000 – 18,000 RPM), and a vacuum t-slot table work surface.

IMA Schelling says its new Novimat Compact R3 is designed for high quality products and can handle all aspects of edge processing. Automated for one-person operation, the optional Imalux laser offers zero seam edge processing for an optimal finished product. It features variable feed speeds up to 20 m/min. and quick glue change via the IMA quick-lock system. Coiled materials can be applied with glue such as EVA or PUR and it includes additional units for grooving or smoothing operations.

Komo Machine, Inc has introduced the new Flex series, the newest generation of CNC routers. The company say the Flex and Flex TT are the most economically priced machines in its product line. The Flex series is offered in single- and twin-table configurations while both models feature a fan-cooled spindle, a 12-position automatic tool changer with aggregate capability, air blast for optimal dust/chip evacuation and cooling of the cutting tool, and advanced Fanuc HVI servo system. Also included is a tool touch-off device with automatic tool data uploading, Fanuc Panel i-control with integrated PC, and a universal grid fixture table available in standard composite or aluminum.

The Putsch EBP edgebander series is a family of compact edgebanders made specifically with small to medium sized workshops in mind. The European-built machines utilize a heavy steel base for stability and quality banding application. All of the edgebanders in the series feature a Teflon-coated glue pot for easy cleaning and with the exception of the entry-level EBP 320 (belt feed), the chain-feed EBP series uses a specially-designed conveyor system that eliminates panel movement along the edge during the work process.

Biesse's seamless integration of flexible edgebanding with the Winner W4 is a fully automated system for edgebanders for returning and unloading parts. The system unloads and stacks the panels at the end of each machining cycle and by using its size measuring sensors, it creates piles of different sized panels and checks their stability. The W4 rotates the raised panel by 180 degrees and facilitates the handling of delicate materials by reducing the risk of damage to the panel surfaces. The W4 can be seamlessly integrated with a wide range of Biesse single sided edgebanders allowing one operator to control an entire edgebanding line with return and stacking capabilities.

Available from Castaly Machine, the EB-J5 automatic edgebander features an automatic feed station for: pre-milling, gluing, pneumatic guillotine, double-end trimming, and top & bottom fine edge trimming. A chain track with precision ground round guides helps ensure precise linear tracking of the workpiece and rubber pads eliminate marring. The machine also has a pressure beam with staggered rubber rollers for optimum guidance of workpiece, the company says.
