Canfor opens U.S. lumber headquarters in Alabama

Canfor Southern Pine, the U.S. lumber operation of Canfor Corp., has announced plans to open an official U.S. headquarters to Mobile, Alabama. Canfor Southern Pine encompasses 14 manufacturing facilities, which produce 1.4 billion board feet of southern yellow pine lumber as well as engineered wood products.

Tafisa adds capacity with 5th TFL panel line

Tafisa Canada has expanded capacity with the startup of its fifth TFL press line for producing two-sided embossed and in-register textured composite panels in 4-foot by 8-foot and 5-foot by 9-foot sizes. Tafisa said the additional line will aid the production and on-time delivery of its new VIVA panels, which utilize embossed and in-register (EIR) technology.
