Wellborn updates cabinetry lines, doors

ASHLAND, AL - Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. has updated and expanded several cabinetry lines, announcing the expansions to its door styles, accessible cabinetry and other offerings the day before the KBIS Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, which opens tomorrow in in Las Vegas.

The Wellborn Cabinet Active Living Collection is a revitalized accessible cabinetry collection, re-launched with 21 new door styles, more wood species and 65 new cabinets. Wellborn says it received requests from its dealers to add these new products in response to client requests.

Wellborn says it will now offer Belmont painted cabinet doors, made of  medium density fiberboard (MDF). Belmont features traditional styling in a durable, full overlay door with a square raised center panel and a 5-piece drawer front appearance, both mannufactured with applied moulding.

Finish selections include white Glacier; off-white Divinity; Mocha Cream, a cream paint with chocolate glaze; Glacier Java, a white paint with dark brown glaze; and Divinity Java, off-white paint with dark brown glaze. No additional charges are made for these specialty finishes. The Belmont door style is available in Wellborn Select Series, Wellborn’s Good Line in its Good, Better, Best line-up.

Three of Wellborn Cabinet’s popular doors are now available in cherry: Sydney, Seville Arch and Seville Square are offered in the cherry wood species.

Sydney is a full overlay classic “puffy” miter door that features a five piece drawer front. The reversed flat center panel is made of solid wood. Seville Arch and Square feature classic styling with a full overlay solid wood raised center panel. The door and drawer front edges are profiled allowing for glazing to catch beautifully. Sydney and Seville Arch and Square are available in all 15 cherry finishes.

Wellborn Cabinet now offers two new doors that feature horizontal grain patterns: Barcelona Oak is a full overlay slab door with wood veneer and is available in Wellborn’s “Better” and “Best” lines. Loft Laminate is a full overlay, laminated slab door that is available in Wellborn’s “Good” Line of cabinetry. Both of these new door styles lend themselves  to those  a modern and simplified look, says Wellborn.

To expand its collection of Poplar door styles, Wellborn Cabinet will now offer Bedford Arch Poplar, a full overlay door style with a solid wood, raised center panel. Poplar is a light and inexpensive wood species that looks very similar to maple. Wellborn already offers Bedford Square Poplar in its Select Series. Bedford Arch and Square are available in 14 finishes.

Wellborn is also debuting Bristol Oak and Sandia Cherry, Maple, Oak and Hickory in its family of Shaker style doors.

Bristol is a full overlay door style featuring wide stiles and rails, a simple slab drawer front and a solid wood reversed flat center panel, with styling that displays natural colors and textures. Bristol was already available in cherry, maple and character maple and is now expanded to oak.

Sandia is a full overlay mission style door with a solid wood reversed flat center panel.  Sandia uses a routed step rail design on the inside of the top and bottom rails of the door. It is available with two drawer front options: classic 5-piece drawer front or 1-piece slab drawer front. Further options include all finish palettes in the cherry, maple, oak and hickory wood species.

Wellborn’s other Shaker doors include Hanover with slender stiles and rails and slab drawer front or 5-piece drawer front and Harbour with bead-board center panels
