Two arrested for stealing cabinetry from vacant house

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The City of Riverside, California reports that police officers were dispatched to a home on April 30, regarding a possible residential burglary in progress.

A passerby reported that two individuals were stealing cabinets from inside a vacant residence which was for sale. A policeman in an unmarked police vehicle maintained surveillance of the suspects as officers responded.  At the property,  officers found the suspect’s at a nearby property.

During the investigation, officers learned the suspects were stealing cabinets, doors, mirrors, vanities and other miscellaneous items from the vacant house. Consent was obtained from the homeowner of the property where the suspects were located. During that search, stolen property was located as well as a stolen travel trailer that was linked to the suspects. 

Randy Foster, 39-year-old of Riverside, and Ryan Reed, 36-year-old of Riverside, were arrested and later booked into jail for burglary, possession of stolen property, and weapons violations, the city reports.
