Techniks Industries acquires Parlec Tooling Division

INDIANAPOLIS -Techniks Industries, a provider of tooling for the metalworking and woodworking industries,will acquire the tooling division of Parlec, Inc., located in Fairport, NY. Parlec, founded 70 years ago, will retain its Presetter business under the “Omega” brand.
 
Parlec’s portfolio comprises more than 8,000 individual products - 98 percent of them manufactured in the U.S. at its Fairport, New York world headquarters. Parlec has more than 30 patented processes and technologies.
 
Techniks says the acquisition expands its product offerings of aftermarket machine tool accessories and enhances its manufacturing and distribution capabilities to distributors and OEMs in North America. Techniks will continue selling Parlec-branded products and offering manufacturing quality and product development out of its Fairport location for Parlec customers.
