TEUTOPOLIS, Ill. - Stevens Industries, Inc. has announced Sandra Bushby as its new human resources manager following the retirement of Joan Thies, who had been with the company since 1999.

A Cornell certified human resource professional, Bushby previously worked for ExecuInsight, KPMG LLP, and Pfizer. With specialties that include leveraging workstyles, creating inclusive workforces, and fostering employee engagement, Bushby is a certified inclusion and diversity professional/advanced practitioner (CCDP/AP) and holds a degree in marketing, business administration, and mass communications from Illinois State University.

"My success has been in engaging teams, and helping employees to be heard," said Bushby. "I work with them to bring diverse employee experiences together to problem solve and bring employee insight into company strategy. An employee-owned company is well-suited for these skills, because truly, the team works for themselves and each other."

Bushby is an active member in the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce Impact 2030 initiative, serving on two committees. As a long-distance member, she assisted in preserving the old courthouse and is now assisting in preserving the Effingham Cultural Center and Museum.

An industry leader in commercial casework, millwork, countertops, solid surface and decorative surfaces, Stevens Industries, Inc. is 100 percent employee owned by its 500 plus associates.
