TOWSON, Md. – Black & Decker has joined Habitat for Humanity’s first nationwide cause campaign, Home is the Key, in raising awareness throughout April of the need for improved access to adequate shelter. Funds raised during the campaign will allow Habitat to provide families in need with shelter.

“We are thrilled to be part of a movement that will help open more doors to affordable homeownership,” said Allison Nicolaidis, chief marketing officer for Global Tools & Storage at Stanley Black & Decker.

Black & Decker joined Habitat for Humanity’s ‘Twitter party’ April 5, an open chat intended to support Habitat. Black & Decker gave away prizes, including a 20V MAX Lithium Drill/Driver and accompanying 68-piece project kit. Each kit includes a drill/driver, hand tools, and a variety of accessories.

Having supported Habitat for Humanity since 1987, BLACK+DECKER has contributed financially, donated tools, and held annual employee volunteer days to build alongside Habitat homeowners in the U.S. and across the world.
