Slovakia wood manufacturing plant planned for Belarus

BREST, Belarus – Slovak businessmen will build a woodworking enterprise in Brest Oblast, the area's Governor, Anatoly Lis, said during the international forum of business contacts Brest 2016 on 22 April.
 
“With assistance of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Slovakia Jozef Migas negotiations were held and an agreement was reached with a Slovakian company on building a woodworking enterprise in our region,"  said Lis.
 
Lis also said Polish investors have expressed interest in buying a manufacturing site in Belarus's Zhabinka District, and plans have been made to set up and develop a major logistics hub there, wtih about €15 million to be poured into the project. The Brest Oblast Governor said he was confident that the forum of business contacts will allow expanding cooperation between countries and regions.
