BELLUNO, ITALY - As of November 11, Salice took full ownership of Bortoluzzi Sistemi of Belluno, Italy.

Since Salice’s acquisition of the first shares in 2010, the companies have developed a strong strategic partnership.

Now, the completion of the acquisition enables Salice to further strengthen its role in the field of innovative opening systems, which range from furniture hinges, lifting systems, runners and drawers to more sophisticated sliding systems.

Fusing technology and aesthetics, Salice's Air hinge is fully adjustable in three directions, features a soft-close mechanism, and is nearly invisible. Salice Air is a 2016 IWF Challengers Winner.

“Bortoluzzi solutions are a perfect fit for Salice and we have enjoyed considerable success with them since the beginning of the partnership,” said Walter Gosling, branch director of Salice U.K. “We are delighted that the full acquisition of the company will bring significant additional strategic benefits for the further development of our expertise and product range of opening systems for furniture.”

Bortoluzzi Sistemi produces a wide range of products designed to make sliding doors open and close silently, pleasantly, and safely. The company offers seven lines of products with five different sliding mechanisms (coplanar, overlapping, fold-away, vertical, and lateral movements).

Salice is a leading producer of concealed hinges, drawer slides, and sliding door systems.
