TAYLOR, TX - Summit Custom Cabinets will relocate from Manor to Taylor, TX, bringing with it 22 manufacturing jobs. The cabinetry manufacturer is receiving support from the Taylor Economic Development Commission, with the understanding it has 5 years to create 50 additional jobs.
Summit Custom Cabinets will also have 36 months to implement a promised benefits package, with a retirement plan along with offering paid vacation and paid sick leave, among other benefits.
Summit Custom Cabinets will build a 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility on 7 acres of land in Mustang Creek Industrial Park, the land donated by the City of Taylor as part of the package. The land is valued at $206,500. The development commission also is providing a relocation incentive of $3,740 for each of the 50 jobs to be created, as well as the 22 jobs moving to Taylor.
Sean Stockard, head of the Taylor Economic Development Commission, says, " These are the exact types of jobs that Taylor and TEDC are going after. Stable, higher-skilled manufacturing jobs that pay a decent wage and offer good benefits. We were very excited when Summit Custom Cabinets approached us earlier this spring about their relocation plans.”
