MityLite Acquires Carroll Chair Hospitality Furniture Supplier

OREM, UT  — MityLite today announced a significant move into the restaurant and foodservice tables and chair category through the purchase of Carroll Chair Company from Hospitality International, LLC. Carroll Chair is a producer of tables and chairs for the restaurant channel. Over the next three months, MityLite will move all Carroll Chair operations to Orem from its current location in Wisconsin.

"This acquisition furthers MityLite’s commitment to expanding our restaurant furniture product mix and will be the foundation on which we grow this strategic channel,” said MityLite CEO John Dudash. "While our expansion into restaurant and foodservice tables and chairs was a natural progression for MityLite, it is through high-profile customer accounts such as Chili’s, Moe’s Southwestern Grill, and Culver’s that we will continue to secure credibility in this space with top-tier restaurant chains.”

Carroll Chair was acquired by the previous owner of L.B. White Company, Inc. in 1996, and has operated as a sister company to La Crosse Cooler under Hospitality International, LLC. Carroll Chair Company shared resources and manufacturing space with La Crosse Cooler at the company’s headquarters in Onalaska, Wisc.

L.B. White Company CEO Rick Diermeier stated, "We have been very pleased with the growth and performance of Carroll Chair Company. Many leading U. S. restaurant chains have come to rely on Carroll Chair as a supplier of high quality, metal-framed seating, table bases, and tabletops. We are very pleased to complete this transaction with MityLite, a significant and well-resourced manufacturer of seating and table products.”

Transfer of ownership was effective February 9, 2015. The two companies have entered into an agreement that will allow for an orderly transition of the business to MityLite.
