AUBURN, AL - The nation's largest cabinet manufacturer continues to grow. MasterBrand Cabinets Inc. announced it is expanding its operations at the Auburn, AL, facility, adding a third shift and 150 employees. This will bring the total number of employees at the plant to 530.

“I’m excited about our ability to make further economic investments in Auburn that will allow us continue providing high levels of quality and reliable service to our regional customers,” said Dave Randich, president of MasterBrand Cabinets. “This expansion reflects our commitment to support local jobs and represents the quality of the workforce who are critical to our success.”

The Auburn facility manufactures semi-custom kitchen and bath cabinets and is one of 20 MasterBrand Cabinets' facilities located throughout North America. A division of Fortune Brands Home & Security (NYSE: FBHS) and headquartered in Jasper, IN, MasterBrand Cabinets offers production, semi-custom and custom cabinetry for the kitchen, bath and other areas of the home. Cabinet brands include: Aristrokraft, Omega Cabinetry, Dynasty by Omega, Schrock Cabinetry, KitchenCraft Cabinetry, Decora, Homecrest Cabinetry, Cabinetry by Diamond, Kemper Distinctive Cabinetry and Wood Crafters.

"I am honored MasterBrand Cabinets has decided to expand its operation in Auburn," Governor Robert Bentley said. "The greatest compliment any company can provide communities is a decision to expand an existing operation. MasterBrand's expansion is the result of a strong business climate in Lee County and a dedicated work force. Soon, new skilled jobs will be created for the people in Auburn and the surrounding areas."

The news of MasterBrand's operations expansion follows the third quarter announcement by FBHS that cabinet sales for the company increased 33 percent during the time period; that figure includes Norcraft Cabinets, which was acquired earlier this year.
