WARROAD, Minn. - Marvin Windows and Doors added larger standard window and door sizes and new hardware choices, including a new Matte Black finish option, to its Marvin Contemporary Studio collection.

"Natural materials, sleek designs and modern styling all contribute to our enhanced Contemporary Studio collection, providing even more avenues to bring out the best in contemporary design," said Kris Hanson, Marvin Windows and Doors senior manager, group product management. "Hardware in Matte Black is a perfect complement to a modern aesthetic, and larger, more expansive windows and doors make it possible to create stunning line-of-sight views – opening interior spaces and bringing the outdoors in."

New features in the enhanced Contemporary Studio collection include:

New hardware options – A new contemporary sliding door handle for all sliding patio and French doors and a new Matte Black finish option on most hardware. In line with the latest kitchen and bathroom trends, the reflection-free matte finish allows the lines of the hardware to stand out while blending seamlessly with contemporary decor.

Automatic door control – The new Sliding Door Automatic Control (SDAC) makes it possible to operate the door from a wall switch or via remote control. The automatic control is available on all four Marvin Ultimate Multi-Slide Door configuration options: bi-parting pocket, bi-parting stacked, uni-directional pocket and uni-directional stacked.

New standard door heights – 9-foot heights are now standard on Marvin sliding and swinging patio and French, Ultimate Multi-Slide, arch top and commercial doors. Also new to the Ultimate Multi-Slide door are panels in standard widths up to 6 feet. The Ultimate Multi-Slide door can be further customized in heights up to 12 feet with up to 10 total panels.

Larger window sizes, more profile options, standard lead times – The Marvin Contemporary Casement and Ultimate Casement windows are now the largest operating wood-clad casement windows in the industry, the company says. With heights up to 8-1/2 feet, these windows offer massive views and streamlined sightlines without sacrificing energy-efficient performance.

The Marvin Corner Window is also now available as part of the Contemporary Studio collection, with standard lead times and a simplified ordering process.

OXXO Glider window variation – Rounding out the enhanced Contemporary Studio collection is the Ultimate OXXO Glider, a variation on the clean, contemporary look of a glider window. The glider can span up to 14 feet, and window height can be specified up to 6 feet. New features of the Ultimate OXXO Glider window include the ability to achieve a PG35 rating and its availability as a standard offering for easier estimation and ordering.
