EASTABOGA, Ala.- Legacy Cabinets says it has adopted a technology to help it verify ID cards accompanying employment applications.
 
Legacy Cabinets is a participant in the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)’s IMAGE (ICE Mutual Agreement between Government and Employers) program.
 
The IMAGE program assists employers in targeted sectors to develop a more secure and stable workforce. ICE is responsible for the enforcement of federal laws governing border control, customs, trade and immigration to support and promote homeland security and public safety.
 
Legacy’s CFO and Executive Senior Vice President of Finance, IT and Human Resources Carl Nicholson said there is a lot at stake.

The Eastaboga, Alabama-based company has been in business for 22 years. The company sells cabinetry, doors, moldings and accessories to recognized retail outlets and dealers in forty states. Founded in February 1994, five partners formed the cabient business. Over the years Legacy has continued to invest in its operation. Since 1994, we have added 5 expansion projects. While the original building consisted of just 48,000 square feet, today we are proud to boast a total of 535,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
 
Legacy is using a system called ID Check, that reads and analyzes data encoded in the barcodes on government issued IDs such as driver licenses and matches the information against data in Intellicheck’s proprietary ID Check database to authenticate the ID credential in real-time.
