IRVINE, CA  - Kevin Mautino has joined Laguna Tools, Inc. as director of marketing, reporting to VP Catherine Helshoj.

Mautino oversees strategic direction and manages day-to-day operations of Laguna's marketing department. Laguna's innovation in CNC routers, industrial tools, and tools for hobbyists, has resulted in record growth for the company,  prompting the need for this newly created position.

"I am very excited that Kevin has joined our team," said Helshoj. "We have done well in marketing Laguna and getting the name out there. But there's more work that needs to be done to build the brand even further, especially when it comes to increasing our digital presence."

Mautino joins Laguna from Arbonne International, LLC, where he was online marketing manager. During his eight-year tenure, he was involved in a number of aspects, including management of interactive design and development, project management, digital marketing strategy and analytics, and social media community management. Prior to Arbonne, he was art director at Marcomm Associates, a marketing agency in Brea, California. Mautino has also consulted for companies in industries such as fashion, DIY, self-help, legal, and non-profit.

"This is a tremendous opportunity to join a company on the rise," said Mautino. "With the growing popularity of CNC technology, woodworkers are becoming increasingly digitally savvy. That means they are also crossing over more into social media, sharing their work online, which obviously creates an opportunity for us to be a content provider for them and make that personal connection."

Founded in Laguna Beach, California, in 1984, by Torben Helshoj, Laguna Tools supplies a range of woodworking products, including professional grade bandsaws, tablesaws, CNC machines, multi-functional combination machines, and a full line of products and accessories.
