Knoll Names Joseph Coppola COO, Heading Supply Chain

 EAST GREENVILLE, PA - Business furnishings company Knoll, Inc.  named Joseph T. Coppola as Chief Operating Officer, effective June 1.

Coppola was  Vice President, Global Supply Chain at Boart Longyear, an international provider of mineral exploration drilling services and drilling products. He reports to Andrew B. Cogan, CEO and is responsible for Knoll's supply chain activities, including manufacturing, global sourcing, logistics, quality and environmental health and safety.

"He has a clear knowledge of leading operations with a high degree of customization and rigorous customer expectations," Cogan says.  

Prior to joining Boart Longyear in 2006,  Coppola held senior supply chain roles with the Mechanical Systems and Airframe Systems units of Honeywell International. He has also served in operations and manufacturing roles with Eaton Corporation and Norfolk Southern Corporation. Mr. Coppola holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University and an M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.

Bill volunteers for Foinse Research Station, a biological field station staddling the border of Ireland and Northern Ireland, one of more than 200 members of the Organization of Biological Field Stations.
