For iPhone 6 Plus, Add a New Generation of Wood Cases

Wood products shops making accessories for electronics have to hustle as new technology releases arrive. Each phone model provides unique challenges - changes in dimensions, positions of ports, etc.

Each iPhone 7 case and dock are designed, fabricated and constructed at Grovemade's Portland woodshop where the products are precision cut on Haas CNCs and hand sanded.

Grovemade's iPhone 7 collection includes:

Folio Wallet Case: Designed for the iPhone 7/7 Plus, Grovemade’s handcrafted Folio Wallet Case is minimalist in design, featuring a frame of solid domestically sourced wood with a premium vegetable-tanned leather cover that develops a patina over time. The minimal wallet is included on the interior flap, holding 2 cards vertically and 1-2 folded bills. The Folio Wallet Case for the 7 retails for $129 and $139 for the 7 Plus, and is also available for the iPhone 6/6s/6 Plus/6s Plus.

Leather & Wood Case: Grovemade’s Leather & Wood Case utilizes a 2-part design consisting of a premium vegetable-tanned leather back plate with a handsome bumper made entirely from wood. Grovemade’s Wood and Leather iPhone 7 Case retails for $109 and $119 for the 7 Plus, and are also available for the iPhone 6/6s/6 Plus/6s Plus and iPhone SE.

Wood iPhone Cases: The handcrafted iPhone cases for the iPhone 7/7 Plus features a 2-part design that employs Grovemade’s unique precision joint design, creating the thinnest wood case possible with increased frame strength and durability. Crafted from domestic hardwoods, iPhones can snap in and out of the engineered frame. In addition, a one-piece adhesive back plate easily attaches to the back of the iPhone, leaving no residue. Grovemade’s Wood iPhone 7 Cases retail for $99 and $109 for the 7 Plus, and are also available for the iPhone 6/6s/6 Plus/6s Plus and iPhone SE.

Wood iPhone Bumpers: The one-piece design of the iPhone Bumper utilizes the strong direction of the wood grain that reinforces Grovemade’s signature joint design, creating the industry’s first complete wooden frame that offers the durability of the case. Handcrafted from domestic hardwoods, the cases are carefully machined to allow access to all connectors and ports, and include a laser cut actuated power and volume button. Grovemade’s Wood iPhone 7 Bumpers retail for $59 and $69 for the 7 Plus, and are also available for the iPhone 6/6s/6 Plus/6s Plus and iPhone SE.

Wood iPhone Docks: Grovemade’s iPhone Dock utilizes a combination of wood and solid, 3lb. steel base that allows the dock to stay in place while plugging and unplugging an iPhone. The docks feature a hidden channel to direct ringtones and other audio to pass through the front of the dock. Grovemade’s docks are available with a black steel and walnut cap or silver steel and maple cap, retailing for $99 for the 7 and 7 Plus, and are also available for the iPhone 6/6s/6 Plus/6s Plus and iPhone SE.

Grovemade has been selling iPhone wood cases since 2009. An early arrival on the iPhone case scene, Grovemade originated phone cases in bamboo, then diversified into fine hardwoods like walnut.
