Ferwood opens U.S. branch to sell refurbished machinery

Refurbished and rebuilt woodworking machinery vendor Ferwood has opened its new American branch in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Ferwood USA was established after the parent company’s acquisition of SIS Machinery, a brand that has been on the market for over 20 years.

Ferwood is based in Pollenzo, Italy, and buys and sells woodworking equipment. At the core of the new business is the Ferwood brand of refurbished machinery for companies ranging in size from small family run businesses to large manufacturers.

The company has been founded with the aim of closely following current and potential clients in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The company sees these countries as traditionally high-performing markets.

Ferwood Machinery was a the branch opened in the UK in 2015. Ferwood USA is confirms Ferwood’s strategy for the rest of the world. Eighty-five percent of company sales comes from exports.
