BOSTON - Emerson Bearing Boston has launched a wood products division to provide bearings, linear motion, spherical bushings and other products used in new and existing equipment needing replacement parts for the secondary wood products and forestry industries.
Lee Holt, who has more than 40 years of experience in the bearings industry, will head up the new wood products division as marketing specialist. As part of his responsibilities, Holt will consult with clients about how to choose the most suitable bearing technology, taking into consideration the specifications, recommendations, maintenance strategies, fatigue life and wear resistance of the bearing in relation to the application.
Emerson Bearing's product range span heavy-duty mounted units and roller chins needed for saw mills through parts that can help panel saws, planers and other industrial woodworking machinery maintain critical tolerances.
