How to Sell More U.S. Wood Products Focus of Conference

PRINCETON, WV - "Promoting Locally Made U.S. Wood Products" is a one-day leadership conference set for Thursday, Aug. 2, at the Wood Education and Resource Center in Princeton, WV.

WERC The program, which seeks to find answers to the question, "How Can We Develop a Real Local Wood Products Movement?", is being organized by WERC and the North Carolina State University Wood Products Extension.

Marketing and branding wood products; tapping into economic development groups; and learning about what products and processes can help grow sales are among the topics on the conference's agenda.

This leadership conference is part of Phase II of the WERC grant project “Reinventing Hardwood Markets” that is working on ideas to create demand for U.S. hardwood lumber and plywood products in the value added area of cabinets, furniture and millwork in residential and commercial markets.

Registration is $35 and includes lunch. Foresters can earn 5.5 hours of educational credits.
