Contained to the roof and outside vent, the blaze caused evacuation of the Jeld-Wen window plant in Bend, OR, as well as road closures.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. This is only the second fire at this location in Jeld-Wen's 30-year history, according to KTVZ.

JELD-WEN employs more than 20,000 people worldwide and has manufacturing and distribution locations across the United States and in more than 20 countries. In January, Jeld-Wen said it would open a new wood composite door facing facility in Winn Parish, LA. Wood fiber door-facings are a major component in the most popular type of interior door sold in North America. Scheduled for start-up in the fourth quarter of 2012, it will employ 75 in its first year.
