ATLANTA – Vance Publishing Corporation announces that Custom Woodworking Business (CWB) and CLOSETS magazines will merge into a unique separately bound publication that will allow each brand to maintain its separate identity while boosting overall circulation.
Formal announcement of this repositioning strategy is being made during the International Woodworking Machinery & Furniture Supply Fair (IWF) this week in Atlanta.
The first co-joined issue of CWB and CLOSETS will be released this November. The dual-cover issue will feature covers of both magazine titles. CWB will open on one side; when the issue is flipped 180 degrees, readers will be able to navigate the pages of CLOSETS. The total circulation of CWB/CLOSETS will be 47,000, the most of any B2B publication serving the custom wood interiors market.
This announcement follows an earlier one that CWB and CLOSETS would be joining forces to produce the all-new Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo, Feb. 27-March 1, 2013 in Edison, NJ. That expanded event results from seeing more custom cabinet companies get into closet interiors and vice versa.
The co-joining of the print publications will not spill over to the Web CWB will remain part of WoodworkingNetwork.com alongside Wood & Wood Products magazine, which is geared for professional production woodworking plants. CLOSETS will continue to have its own dedicated enewsletter and website ClosetsDaily.com.
