Classic Oak Furniture Woodshop Destroyed by Fire

click image to zoomClassic Oak Popp Woodworking Fire CUBA CITY, WI - A fire destroyed the woodshop of Classic Oak Furniture, Cuba City, WI.

The fire hit the shop of owner Dale Popp at 9:30 p.m. January 13. The Sheriff's Department said the shop was engulfed in flames and 55-gallon drums of finishing materials were exploding. Nearby homes were evacuated due to the danger from chemical fumes, and six area fire departments and a hazardous materials departments and emergency services from three townships were called.

Popp says at his website he hopes to reopen his wholesale oak furniture manufacturing in a month, and seeks donations to help him with the recovery.
