Chuck Sawyer Heads ISFA Surfacing Group

OREM, UT - Chuck Sawyer was named executive director of the International Surface Fabricators Association, or ISFA, the industry trade association for the surfacing industry.

click image to zoomChuck Sawyer Sawyer entered the surfacing industry in 1974, owning fabrication shops in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh.

Among DuPont's first certified trainers, he pioneered  early fabricator training in the U.S. and South America and was co-chair for the ISSFA Solid Surface Conferences and was selected Associate Member of the Year in 2001.

In 2009, Sawyer was one of the first to be accredited as a LEED Green Associate by the U.S. Green Buidling Council. 

 “Things are starting to move in the right direction," Sawyer says. "ISFA has some amazing things in store over the next few years and I can't wait to launch the next generation of this outstanding organization.”

Among the initiatives are comprehensive fabrication and installation standards for solid surfacing and quartz surfacing, regional and local opportunities for ISFA members to work, connect and learn together, Sawyer says.
