RICHMOND, VA–  National Restorations says it has joined the Cabinet Makers Association, which allows CMA members to join its restoration network on a preferred basis.

National Restorations is an insurance claim service that handles furniture and cabinets claims for major insurance companies through a nationwide network of professional furniture restoration firms.

National Restoration says its members' services are a more cost-effecive alternative to  replacing water or fire damaged kitchens, saving insurance companies  60 percent or more restoring only the damaged cabinets opposed to replacing entire kitchens.

“There is a tremendous opportunity for cabinet shops to diversify their business and enjoy the financial benefits of working within the lucrative claim industry,” said National Restoration founder  Ron Jacobsen in an announcement of the CMA arrangement.  “Most cabinet shops have no idea that the cabinet repair business even exists or how much money insurance claims can generate.”

Jacobsen says cabinet claims comprise over 50 of National Restoration's total claim volume, which also includes walls, windows, flooring, rugs and other interior restoration. "Some insurance companies have made it mandatory that every adjuster must consult with us before they replace a kitchen,” he says.
