Carlisle Wide Plank Floors Brings Torlys Floating Plank Floors to U.S.

STODDARD, NH - Carlisle Wide Plank Floors is now distributing floating wide plank floors in partnership with Ontario-based Torlys, which specializes in unique, eco-friendly designs. The flooring "floats" on a cork panel mounted underneath.

Flooring options in hardwood, cork, leather, and laminate by Torlys, priced under $11 a square foot,  offer the craftsmanship and quality Carlisle clients have come to expect, says the Stoddar, NH, floor company.

Privately held Torlys is headquartered in a 86,000 sq. ft. facility in Mississauga, Ontario and has a warehouse in Vancouver, British Columbia with another 31,000 sq. ft. facility in Calgary, Alberta. Founded in 1988 by partners Fernando Luz and Anibal Claudino - the name TORLYS is derived from Toronto (TOR) and Lisbon (LYS) - current CEO Peter Barretto joined in 1991.

Torlys floating wide plank floors use a patented joint technology that also ensures that no cupping, gapping, or warping will occur. They are durable and made with a scratch resistant and eco-friendly finish that is used in both residential and commercial spaces.

Torlys floors come with a recycled cork backing and Microban antimicrobial protection to inhibit the growth of odor causing bacteria, mold, and mildew. They floors use recycled cork, leather, and wood and FSC Certified floors are available.
