Architectural woodworkers should continue to see improved operating margins as business in the commercial and residential markets continues to strengthen, according to a recent survey by AWI of its manufacturing members.

Business also looks good for custom woodworkers of cabinets and casegoods, and they too are seeing improved profit margins. Technology integration, particularly in small- to medium-size shops, is helping improve the productivity and profitability, according to a recent survey by the Cabinet Makers Association.
