MESA, AZ -- Home improvement specialist Celano Construction LLC has introduced its first cabinet line, made with Baltic birch plywood.

Baltic Duck Cabinets is the name that owner Peter Celano has chosen for the newest addition to his remodeling business. He was inspired to design and create the new cabinet line following 17 years of installing and repairing cabinets.

Calano told the Arizona Republic that he decided to take advantage of the slow time of his remodeling business to develop the cabinet line.

Baltic Duck Cabinets substitutes /2-inch Baltic birch plywood in place of traditional particleboard for cabinet construction. The plywood is coated with what Celano describes as an "ecofriendly, water-resistant finish." Doors and face frames are made from the customer's choice of w alder, cherry, hickory, maple and oak.

Other amenities featured by the Baltic Duck Cabinet line include:

• * In- cabinet levels to allow for future adjustments;
• * Slightly beveled bottom to allow water to drain out the front rather than sit stagnant in the cabinet;
• * Adjustable cabinet feet; and
• * Removable toe-kick allowing access to the adjustable feet.
