Wellborn Cabinet Design Contest Winners

Wellborn CabinetLarge Kitchen, 1st Place: Crystal Kennedy, Pacific Northwest Cabinetry ASHLAND, AL - Wellborn Cabinet announced winning entries in the 2013 Design Contest. Designers entered projects completed between July 1, 2012 and August 31, 2013 in four categories: Large Kitchen, Small Kitchen, Bathroom and Other Rooms.

Judging was by a panel of NKBA accredited judges selected by Wellborn. Entries were judged on five  criteria: Safety & Ergonomics, Elements & Principles of Design, Design Planning, Creativity and Presentation. 

Large Kitchen

1st Place: Crystal Kennedy, Pacific Northwest Cabinetry
2nd Place: Matthew Adler, Schell Bros./Echelon Homes
3rd Place: Crystal Kennedy, Pacific Northwest Cabinetry

Honorable Mention: Crystal Kennedy, Pacific Northwest Cabinetry
Honorable Mention: Lisa Heffernan, Universal Supply Co. Small Kitchen

Small Kitchen

1st Place: Glen Lumia & Sarah Cassidy, Creative Design Construction
2nd Place: Crystal Kennedy, Pacific Northwest Cabinetry
3rd Place: Katrina Hosea, Bee Tree Homes

Honorable Mention: Mike Donzanti, Universal Supply Co. Bathroom

Bathroom

1st Place: Beth Atherholt, Fiderio & Sons
2nd Place: Deborah Esborn, George Davis
3rd Place: Lauren Pastron, Southeastern Cabinet Concepts

Founded in 1961, Wellborn Cabinet operations have grown into a 2 million square-foot facility. Wellborn is vertically integrated, operating its own timber-processing mill, using state-of-the-art equipment to build its cabinets and shipping them on a company-owned transportation system.
