Slideshows: 2013 Closets Top Shelf Design Award Winners

click image to zoomAffordable Closets Plus View slideshows below of the 2013 Closets Top Shelf Design Award winners announced Feb. 27 at the Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo in Edison, NJ.

Winners were named in 10 categories with the overall Top Shelf Design award going to DeVoe Martin, Affordable Closets Plus for "Hidden Treasure Trove Dressing Room". The People's Choice award went to Harold Locklear, Locklear Cabinet & Woodwork Inc. for "Mobile Showroom".

Category winners received a Top Shelf Design Award trophy commemorating their winning entry and Honorable Mentions in each category received a certificate. All finalists will be featued in a special section of the Closets April 2013 issue.

OVERALL WINNER &
2013 Top Shelf Awards: Closet wood over 18 feet

DeVoe Martin, Affordable Closets Plus, won the Closet Wood, Over 18 Linear Feet category and David Smith, Fabrication Specialists, received an honorable mention.

PEOPLE'S CHOICE
Harold Locklear, Locklear Cabinet & Woodwork, received the People's Choice award, voted on by industry peers and the general public.

2013 Top Shelf Awards: Showroom
Charles Waterman, Closets By Design, PA, won the Showroom category and Harold Locklear, Locklear Cabinet & Woodwork, received an honorable mention.

2013 Top Shelf Awards: Specialty
DeVoe Martin, Affordable Closets Plus, won the Specialty category and Donna Siben, Closet Organizing Systems, received an honorable mention.

2013 Top Shelf Awards: Closet melamine over 18 feet
Pamela Taylor, won the Closet melamine, over 18 linear feet category and Harut Varuzhanyan, Artwood Design, received an honorable mention.

2013 Top Shelf Award: Closet melamine 18 feet or less
DeVoe Martin, Affordable Closets Plus, won the Closet melamine, 18 linear feet or less category and Larry Fox, Valet Custom Cabinets & Closets received an honorable mention.

2013 Top Shelf Awards: Home Office over 150 square feet
Bonnie Carlin, Royal Closet Design & Fine Cabinetry, won the Home Office over 150 sq ft category and Diana Augspurger, Creative Storage, received an honorable mention.

2013 Top Shelf Awards: Home Office 150 square feet or less
Dave Skinner, WeDoClosets, won the Home Office 150 sq ft or less category and Tom Mayfield, Closet Organizing Systems, received an honorable mention.

2013 Top Shelf Awards: Garage over 1,000 feet
Maria Kapourelos, Closets By Design, PA, won the Garage over 1,000 square feet category and Anthony Scaletta, Encore Garage, received an honorable mention.

2013 Top Shelf Awards: Garage 1,000 feet or less
Debbie Cantrell, Closets By Design, VA, won the Garage 1,000 square feet or less category and Doreen Stanulonis, Westchester Woodworking, received an honorable mention.

2013 Top Shelf Awards: Closet Reach-In
Susan Gelwicks Thompson, The Closet Designer, won the Closet reach-in category and Nancy Langway, Expert Closets, received an honorable mention.
