Table 'reacts' to user's touch

Netherlands-based designer Juno Jeon has designed a table that “changes” colors when its drawer is pulled out.  The table features a set of wooden scales that are painted on one side and flip over when the drawer opens.

Jeon created the table in hopes that its user would think of it as a living creature. The drawer is meant to appear as if it is reacting to the human touch and comes “to life” when opened. When the drawer is closed again, it “falls back asleep.”
