New president and CFO at units of furniture maker HNI Corporation

MUSCATINE, Iowa - Furniture maker HNI Corporation (NYSE: HNI), parent of Hon, Allsteel and other brands, promoted Kurt A Tjaden, its chief financial officer, to president, HNI International, succeeding Marco V. Molinari, who will retire. 
 
Tjaden has been CFO of  HNI Corporation since August 2008. HNI International is a major business unit of HNI Corporation.  Tjaden will continue as a Senior VP for HNI Corporation reporting to Stan Askren, chairman, president and CEO.
 
"Kurt has provided strategic direction and keen insight leading our finance functions," said Askren. "With his unique capabilities and previous international experience, we are pleased Kurt will now be leading our international businesses."
 
Prior to joining HNI Corporation, Tjaden worked in Asia for Whirlpool, Gateway, and Procter & Gamble, giving him a strong background in the Asia Pacific region.
 
Molinari is retiring after over 13 years, while Marshall H. Bridges has been appointed VP and CFO of HNI Corporation, reporting to Askren.
 
"I am pleased to have Marshall take the next step up in his successful career," said Askren. "We are fortunate to have such a capable and experienced candidate ready and able to fill this critical role." Bridges joined HNI Corporation in 2001, and was VP Investor Relations and Treasurer, HNI Corporation; Vice President, Finance, Allsteel; and Vice President, Finance, Contract Furniture Group.  He possesses significant finance, business strategy and transactional experience.

Bill volunteers for Foinse Research Station, a biological field station staddling the border of Ireland and Northern Ireland, one of more than 200 members of the Organization of Biological Field Stations.
