COPPELL, TX -- Southern Enterprises, a furniture designer and manufacturer supplying retail stores like Home Depot, leased 148,635 square feet -- nearly half the space of a Las Vegas, NV, distribution center opened by Dermody Properties in May 2015.

The furniture company expects to create more than 10 jobs and anticipates fulfilling 25 percent of its direct-to-consumer orders from the facility when it becomes fully operational in Nov. 2015.

Currently headquartered in Coppell, TX, near Dallas, with a distribution center in Carlisle, PA, Southern Enterprises' expansion to Las Vegas will allow the company to better service the West Coast.

“The success of our business is driven by our ability to quickly deliver our products to our customers,” said Gary Horowitz, Chief Financial Officer for Southern Enterprises. “Strategically, Nevada, and more specifically a Las Vegas location, helps us reach that objective for our West Coast consumers.”

Founded in 1976, Southern Enterprises is a family-owned business.
