Demand for organized closets, garages and other home storage areas will rise steadily over the next four years, reaching $10.9 billion in annual sales by 2019. That makes it bigger than wood flooring and windows.

Consumers are trending to tighter living quarters - aging Baby Boomers are downsizing to apartments and town homes, while Millennials have their eyes set on central city loft-style living. This means getting more storage into smaller quarters. Working at home is increasingly common. And the garage is now the new front door.

What business opportunities does this present for custom interior spaces?

Freedonia Group research analyst Kyle Peters provides a preview of the closets and home storage and organization market in this free webcast, available as a recording, originally broadcast July 28. Freedonia's latest study pegs the home organization market, including closets, personal organization, garages, and backyard sheds, along with accessories and home storage, at over $10 billion.

This webcast is a preview of a fuller presentation to be delivered during a day-long Closets Symposium at IWF 2016 on August 23 in Atlanta.
