DETROIT - Viren Shah, CIO of Masco Cabinetry, is among CIOs presenting at the 2016 Detroit CIO Executive Leadership Summit, produced by HMG Strategy to be held on June 9, 2016 at the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit.

HMG Strategy says that as business markets undergo seismic changes, CIOs face a new mandate for becoming CEOs of technology and collaborating with the C-suite to set the strategic course for the enterprise.

The courageous leadership that CIOs must exhibit in the new world order will be the focal point of the event.

"In a world where businesses and markets are facing constant upheaval, business as usual simply doesn't cut it anymore," said Hunter Muller, HMG Strategy's President and CEO. "The CIO needs to demonstrate a willingness to challenge the status quo and offer bold new approaches for winning in the 21st Century economy."

The Detroit summit will get underway with a celebrated panel of IT leaders who will explore the mindset that's needed by CIOs to display courageous leadership. Other inspiring sessions will focus on future trends that will impact the enterprise; a new range of performance that's required from CIOs in a world of accelerated change; leadership in highly-disruptive times; a digital series from Silicon Valley luminaries highlighting the emerging technologies CIOs should know about; a case study on digital transformation being driven by the Williams Martini Formula 1 racing team; and the future role of the digital technology leader.
