I do pyrography and buy rounds from craft stores kind of a lot. Yesterday at moms they started cutting down pine trees and my mum decided she needed coat racks made from this tree and had my brother chainsaw us some nice looking rounds. So my problem is I have never dried wood before. She said I can dry them in the oven but these are huge sappy hunks of wood. Some are about 2 inches thick and some are up to 4 inches thick and all over a foot diameter. Any ideas on how to get these burn ready, or should I store them and forget them till next year lol.
