SELF TAPPING & SETTING SCREWS

QuickScrews International Corp. introduces the Spiral Point Funnel Head Screw designed for use with a variety of different woods. The screws have a self-piloting auger point and are designed with reversed threads above and below the main threads plus serrated teeth under the head, allowing it to drive into most materials without a pilot hole. The head sinks flush and stops right below the surface, says the company, and available in a dozen sizes. Features of the screw include a T17 point, which collects wood dust, reducing outward pressure as the screw is installed and reducing splits and bulges, according to the company. QuickScrews Intl.
