OPTIMIZATION & INFEED SYSTEM
Cameron Automation | Updated: June 11, 2012 2:00:00 AM
Cameron Automation, a division of James L. Taylor Manufacturing, introduces The Skew, a complete optimization and infeed system for fixed and moving blade gang rip saws and a 2012 IWF Challengers Award Entry. The Skew’s skewing fence allows crooked boards to be fed at the angle that maximizes yield and straight boards with defects can be fed at any angle to rip around defects. The Skew fence skews to the left or to the right to increase the yield on boards that do not have a straight edge, says the company. Applications include custom moulding and millwork, stair component manufacturers, mid-size custom cabinetry shops and wholesale lumber distributors. Features include multiple fixed blades, two moving blades, auto feed and auto skew, and variable speed up to 130 feet per minute.
