Uniboard | Updated: August 21, 2012 2:00:00 AM
Uniboard introduces NU Green MR50 no added formaldehyde MDF, which the company says offers a green solution in interior applications where humidity is a concern. NU Green is NAF certified and exceeds CARB Phase 2 standards. FSC certified and ECC certified, NU Green MR50 is made from 100 percent recycled and recovered pre-consumer wood fiber and passes the six-cycle accelerated aging and the 24-hour water submersion test and can help users achieve up to six LEED points, says the company. NU Green MR50 MDF’s applications include residential uses such as kitchens and bathrooms as well as commercial applications, including food service industries, institutional buildings and healthcare. It is also designed for interior, non-structural applications where periodic humidity exposure is a factor and is available as a raw product or value-added product. Panel sizes are 4 ft. by 8 ft. and 5 ft. by 8 ft. in thicknesses of ¼ in., ½ in., 11/16 in. and 1 in. Uniboard will be in Booth 2437 at IWF 2012.
