Sherwin Williams  |  Updated: August 27, 2012 12:00:00 AM

Sherwin-Williams introduces Sher-Wood F3 Hi-Bild PreCat Lacquer, its first traditional catalyzed lacquer that provides formaldehyde free finishing. The new finish contains no formaldehyde or ingredients that emit formaldehyde, but still has the overall look, feel and application benefits of a catalyzed lacquer, says the company.  Sher-Wood F3 Hi-Bild PreCat Lacquer reduces employee exposure to formaldehyde during curing, and significantly reduces the odor during application. It can also help minimize complaints during product installation or unpacking, when residual formaldehyde emissions may be most noticeable. but Sher-Wood F3Hi-Bild PreCat Lacquer can be used as a simple drop-in replacement and does not require new spray equipment or a change in finishing set-up, says the company.  It is a self-sealing product and is compatible with the full range of Sher-Wood  stains and glazes.
