NEW EDITION TOOL DIRECTORY & PRODUCT APP

Leitz introduces the Leitz Lexicon Edition 6, featuring a printed directory and improved software, and the first version of a new App for accessing product and technical information. The Leitz App offers the complete Leitz product range via Smartphone and tablet computers and it allows users to access the Leitz-Lexicon, Edition 6, from mobile devices. The application is available in German and English and can currently be downloaded on Android Smartphones and iPads and will be available for the iPhone and Android Tablet in the near future, says the company. The app lets users complete tool orders and submit them for expedited delivery or use a route planner to display directions to the nearest Leitz facility, as well as view the Leitz YouTube channel. The App also offers a virtual slide rule, which calculates cutting speed, feed speed, cutting distance and other machine data for tools on a Smartphone or tablet.
