DeFelsko introduces the PosiTector 200, a coating-thickness gage for measuring paint, varnish, lacquer, and more on furniture, flooring, cabinetry and other items. The PosiTector 200 non-destructively measures a wide variety of applications using proven ultrasound technology measuring coating thickness over wood, concrete, plastics, composites, metals and more. The proven non-destructive ultrasonic technique conforms to ASTM D6132 and ISO 2808 and SSPC PA9. The system is ready to measure with no adjustment needed to measure most coatings and uses a menu-driven interface featuring one-handed menu navigation, a bi-color indicator light and a reset feature that restores factory settings instantly. The gage offers accuracy with responsive transducers providing fast, accurate readings up to 40 readings per minute, says the company, and is solvent, acid, oil, water and dust resistant. The PosiTector 200 Series comes in standard and advanced. Advanced models measure up to 3 individual layer thicknesses in a multi-layer system.
