Uniboard introduces its High Gloss Melamine Finish, an IWF 2012 Challengers Award Entry, and a new option to designers and furniture manufacturers in line with global trends. The smooth, mirror-like, texture is achieved with Italian steel press plates using heat and pressure to bond the panel. The décor paper is thermofused to a super-sanded MDF (Grade 155) panel, says the company. Applications include residential kitchen, bath and closet storage systems as well as the commercial, hospitality, retail and store fixture market segments. It is manufactured and shipped with a protective peel coat. There are no VOCs within the product. The High Gloss Finish melamine, being an eco-certified panel, is CARB 2 compliant and  ECC certified. The High Gloss Finish is also available on Uniboard’s NU Green panels, which are FSC certified and meet ULEF/NAF/NAUF specifications.
