New Mastercam Programs Highlight CNC Software Event

Mark Summers MastercamCNC Software President Mark Summers leads a tour of the facility during the company's 30th anniversary press event. TOLLAND, CT - CNC Software unveiled new Mastercam products to an audience of about 20 members of the media at its 30th anniversary event, held May 13 in Tolland, CT.

Among the software on display were the new Mastercam Mill-Turn, Swiss Expert, a Swiss/U.S.  collaborative development, and the Productivity Plus for Renishaw probing.

Mastercam, CNC SoftwareVisitors saw live demonstrations and simulations of the various Mastercam software programs. In addition to live demonstrations, highlighting the event was a retrospective look at the 30-year history and accomplishments of CNC Software Inc., its sustainable initiatives, plus an overview of the company’s commitment to  education. Training and educating current and future workers is important, and the company has an Educational Division in Gig Harbor, WA, and offers Mastercam University online training courses. It also participates in Workshops for Warriors and SkillsUSA programs, and works with local schools and interns.

Company President Mark Summers and his brother Jack, who has since retired, incorporated CNC Software in 1983;brother Brian serves as vice president. The company serves a number of industries, including woodworking and metalworking, with programs available for: multi-axis milling, routing, turning, wire EDM, plasma and laser cutting, 3D design and drafting, Swiss machining, etc.
