Leitz DFC dust extraction hoods

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - With a goal to increase tool life and improve air quality in work environments, Leitz Tooling has developed a line of dust extraction hoods for woodworking machinery.

The company says its dust flow control (DFC) hoods extract 98% of wood chips and dust. In addition to helping woodshops maintain cleaner air quality, the company says the DFC dust extraction hoods improve tool life by 30% - 40%.

The elimination of buildup also reduces cleaning time, machine down time and risk of fire or injury, the company suggests.

Leitz tooling will present the DFC dust extraction hoods at IWF 2014 in booth 5553, and in the Challengers Award competition. The IWF Challengers Awards celebrate innovations which advance the industry through technology in products, services, and manufacturing techniques. As a finalist of the 2014 Competition, Leitz will go before a panel of judges at the Georgia World Congress Center on August 19. The judges will select winning entries the morning the show opens, on August 20.
