Castle’s Challengers Award winning CSI-1.5 Pocket Cutter/Screw Inserter helps eliminate non-value-added labor and screw-handling motion trauma for high-production cabinet joinery. In less than 2 seconds, Castle says, the CSI-1.5 can cut a screw pocket, drill a low-angle pilot hole and insert a flush, stackable screw. Here’s how it works:
Material is positioned and automatically clamped into place. A router then rotates into the workpiece and a drill extends. Using a Weber screw feeding system, a screw is inserted into the channel. When finished, the stock clamp releases the workpiece and is ready for the cycle to repeat. It works with 1-1/4 and 1-1/2-inch pocket screws. CastleUSA.com
