PROVIDENCE, RI – Bosch Power Tools introduces the OS50VC Half-Sheet Orbital Sander, providing woodworkers with superior handling and maximum comfort for extended sanding applications. The new tool features several Bosch-exclusive advantages, including best-in-class vibration control, a high-performance Sheetloc Supreme paper clamping system and 3.4 amp power rating that make sanding and paint removal a snap.

The Bosch brand’s unique vibration control suspension system includes eight foam heavy-duty blocks that isolate the grip area of the tool from the motor and gear section to keep the amount of vibration reaching users’ hands to a minimum. As most sanding applications take significantly longer time than other tasks, the OS50VC’s comfortable vibration control system will be highly appreciated. The OS50VC boasts the lowest vibration level on an electrical orbital sander and helps limit wear and tear on cabinet and furniture makers, woodworkers and others.

The sander’s 3.4 amp rating, which is evident in its high power and removal rate, is significantly higher than competitor models. The Sheetloc Supreme paper clamping system automatically tensions sanding paper as it is being clamped to ensure that it is held taut for each use. The OS50VC comes with a high performance, extra-soft, microcellular backing pad that conforms to different contours. For those who prefer stick-on paper, the OS50VC accepts it as well.

Designed to give woodworking enthusiasts maximum control and performance, the new tool features a variable speed dial allowing users to match speed and power of the tool to their work piece while multiple ergonomic soft-grip locations prevent fatigue. A removable auxiliary handle gives users the flexibility to sand in tight spaces. The rugged die-cast aluminum gear housing enhances the tool’s life and provides better stability.

The OS50VC offers two methods of collecting dust for maximum versatility. Using the included hose connections, the new sander can be easily hooked up to a vacuum cleaner or the translucent microfilter dust canister with integrated paper filter and cap. Users can quickly and easily empty the canister thanks to its easy-to-remove top, which unscrews like the lid of a jar.

The OS50VC Half-Sheet Orbital Sander is available now for a retail price of $379 at authorized dealers nationwide. An optional L-Boxx with high-quality foam inlay is available for easy transport and convenient storage.
