RICHMOND, Va. - A second Closets By Design location recently opened in Virginia in the Richmond area. The state's first Closets By Design franchise is located in Northern Virgina in Manassas, approximately an hour from Washington, DC.

According to Richmond BizSense, Hugh Toland, the new franchise owner  who formerly worked in the aerospace and defense industry, opened a new 6,000-square-foot retail space that includes a showroom and has manufacturing capacity.

Toland told Richmond BizSense that after spending so many years in corporate America he wanted to try something entrepreneurial and the Closet By Design franchise provided the right structure for him.

Closets By Design has been in business since 1982, designing, building and installing custom closets, garage cabinets, home offices, laundries, pantries, wardrobe mirror doors and more.
